Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how users may use the restaurant.digital platform. By using the service, you agree to comply with this policy.
This AUP supplements the Terms of Service and is enforceable as part of the service agreement.
2. Scope
This AUP applies to:
- All users of restaurant.digital (owners, admins, visitors)
- All generated websites hosted on
*.restaurant.digital subdomains - All API interactions with the platform
3. Permitted use
You may use the platform to:
- Generate and manage restaurant websites for businesses you own or represent
- Publish accurate and truthful information about your restaurant
- Upload original photos or photos you are licensed to use
- Collect and display customer testimonials you have permission to share
- Integrate with tap-eat.digital for QR menu services
4. Prohibited use
You may NOT use the platform to:
4.1. Illegal activity
- Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right
- Engage in fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
- Distribute malware, spyware, phishing content, or exploits
- Enable illegal gambling, drug sales, weapons trafficking, or human trafficking
- Infringe intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, trade secrets)
- Publish content constituting defamation or libel
4.2. Harmful content
- Publish hate speech, harassment, or incitement to violence
- Publish content sexualising or endangering minors
- Publish pornographic or sexually explicit content
- Publish graphic violence, gore, or shock content
- Promote self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
4.3. Misrepresentation
- Impersonate another person, business, or entity
- Claim false certifications, awards, or affiliations
- Fabricate customer reviews or testimonials
- Mislead users about pricing, services, or availability
- Use AI-generated content without the required disclosure labels
4.4. Technical abuse
- Attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, or security measures
- Access accounts or data that do not belong to you
- Scrape or harvest data from the platform at scale
- Introduce malicious code, viruses, or worms
- Overload the platform with automated requests (DoS/DDoS)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble platform software
- Probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation
4.5. Commercial abuse
- Resell platform services without authorisation
- Create sites for businesses that do not exist
- Create multiple accounts to evade suspensions or limits
- Use the platform primarily for spam or affiliate marketing
- Operate a competing service on top of our infrastructure
4.6. Privacy violations
- Publish personal data (names, addresses, phone numbers) of individuals
without their consent
- Publish photos of identifiable individuals without their permission
- Scrape reviews, comments, or personal data from third parties
- Use the platform to stalk, harass, or dox individuals
4.7. Platform integrity
- Remove or modify the "Generated using AI" disclosure label
- Remove or modify the company identification footer
- Remove or modify the "Unverified" banner on unclaimed sites
- Tamper with telemetry, analytics, or audit logs
5. AI-generated content
When using our AI generation features, you:
- Acknowledge that AI output may be inaccurate and must be verified before publication
- Agree not to use AI to generate content violating this AUP
- Accept responsibility for reviewing and curating AI output
- Understand that AI disclosure is mandatory and non-removable
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to enforce this AUP through the following actions:
- Warning — notification of the violation
- Content removal — specific content taken down
- Section hiding — portions of a site made invisible
- Site suspension — site shows a suspended page
- Site deletion — site scheduled for permanent removal (30-day grace period)
- Account ban — permanent removal of access
The severity of the action depends on:
- The nature and severity of the violation
- Prior violation history
- Risk of harm to users, third parties, or the platform
- Good-faith intent and cooperation
Enforcement decisions may be appealed in accordance with our Content Moderation Policy.

If you believe a site or user violates this AUP, please report it via:

For illegal content (CSAM, terrorism, imminent harm), we will contact the authorities directly.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced with 14 days' notice to registered users. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
